Badges: Glengarry badges, what period were they in use?

Can anyone tell me when this Glengarry badge would have been brought into use in the British Army and when it would have been discontinued?

Thanks in advance!

Mark the badges for the glengarry were originaly the center part of the old helmet plate with the crown seperet, over the years Regiments made there own badges that were one pice with the crown attached to the top, they came in around 1874 and were worn till 1895, here's 2 from K&K

Mon General, if by you action the British Army is annihilated, England will never pardon France, and France will not be able to pardon you! Always looking for medals to the Irish Regiments: 18th, 27th, 83rd, 86th, 87th, 88th, 89th,

Cheers Andrew, I've been looking for some originals but they just don't seem to be on the market. I do have a restrike 38th badge but obviously I don't see the point in collecting what is essentially a replica so will keep my eye open for some originals.
