Any events in the UK in September/October?

Postby QSVC » 16 Jul 2012 09:45

Hello,

We're traveling to the UK in September/October and will be out. Are there any Victorian themed events on during this time that you'd consider worth a visit?

We're doing the usual rounds of museums, places, etc though its re-enactment events I'm also interested in.

Robert,

We have a small event happening in Guildford on the 9th September. You would be more than welcome to come along (and even participate if you wished to). This is at a place called Henley Fort just outside Guildford town centre (in Surrey)

Good Morning Robert......

If you bring your cheque book there are several auctions around the time of the OMRS convention in the middle of September.....

Helloo James, Mike.....

I think we'll be in Surrey visiting friends though the plan is a week or two after those dates. Once we firm up our itinery I'll double check, thanks very much for the offer. Not sure about bringing a doublet & kilt along and taking part though the idea appeals on a number of levels.

The auction too sounds good Mike, there's some very nice pieces amongst that...........I can fit the cheque book in instead of the doublet & kilt and sell that as a better idea I'm sure...

Thanks very much gentlemen, appreciate it.

Robert,

No worries. Let me know when you are in Surrey, we can at least meet up in some form whilst you are here! I'm sure we can provide an overnight stop if required.

Hello,

Very generous James, but I wouldn't impose. I will drop you a line though when we're about and catch up for a pint if you're free.
