Congratulations, a nice item to have picked up.

I'd certainly be interested in pics, of the method of naming....Chinscale attachment posts....manufacturer labels, helmet plate positioning, etc. Essentially anything unique or personal by the original owner to your helmet.

Thanks in advance, very much appreciated.

It is actually missing the helmet plate, though I suspect its a R.A. or R.C.A. helmet because its got a brass Artillery ball on the top. It has a Hobson & Sons label inside.

I know that it is a bit late in the day to start posting on this topic but I am also looking for a good repro and there doesn't seem to be many around. I just took delivery of a rather nice British Indian Army puggaree and want to display it, hence my need for a repro.

After looking at a couple of sites I remembered my old friends at Warwick Firearms and they have them albeit Vietnamese made if I am not mistaken. Anyway they don't look too bad and here is the link http://www.warwicks.com.au/sales/r_kitc ... chener.htm

Thanks for that link Stuart, these could be a great alternative to the flared Vietnamese ones. They still have a flair, but it looks much less pronounced that the chear £25 ones around in most places. Perhaps soaking one and elastic banding it into a straighter side might work.

Has any one purchased/seen one of these for comparison?

When the Warwicks get in touch with me I shall ask about the method of fixing the puggaree.

Just received an email from Mike Warwick and the puggarees are stitched on. He also said that he was out of stock on the white ones. Availability of the white version is not known at this time.
