Hello I'm Albert J and have been collecting British Militaria for 28 years. My primary interest is the 2nd Anglo - Boer War. My focus in this regard are uniforms, headgear, and accourtrements as used on active service (all original period pieces). The uniform collection itself has examples of Guards, line regiments,Imperial Yeomanry,Highland and lowland regiments, and colonial. The uniforms are a mix of serge, and drill, all khaki of course. There's also a collection of officer's and o/r's water bottles, several complete sets of pattern 1888 valise equipment ( in buff,black,and brown leather-all original) as well as assorted ephemra and sundry items. In time I hope to share/post pics and contribute what I can.

A warm welcome to the forum, glad to have you aboard! Do you have any specific interests in the Victorian Wars or generally interested in all of it? I think I began with the Zulu War and slowly spread out across the whole of Victoria's reign.

I have been interested in victorian military since college (british soldier in India was my starting point) and that interest pretty much stayed with me. I like late victorian period most and especially the figure of Cecil Rhodes. So warm welcome to everyone!
