Hi
One function I think would be very valuable is the ability to magnify an image within the Forum.
I will show an example from the FIBIS Fibiwiki. Although this is not the same format as this Forum, there is the similarity that once you have registered, anyone can download images and write text.
The FIBIS Fibiwiki page "35th Regiment of Foot" has two (small) images, (the small size determined by being in a gallery. If there had been a single image, the underlying text determines the size.)
http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=3 ... nt_of_FootIf you click on the first image, you go to a larger image
http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=F ... x_Regt.jpgIf you click on this 2nd image, you go to a larger image again, but then there is no further choice of size.
http://wiki.fibis.org/images/2/27/Royal_Sussex_Regt.jpgAn image whose link I posted on another thread on this Forum recently is
http://imgzoom.cdlib.org/Fullscreen.ics ... calisphere. Here you can increase the image to the size you require.
I have no technical knowledge, so do not know if the scan of the original file has a bearing, or whether the restraints of this Forum would prevent magnification .
Cheers
Maureen
