Hi guys I just wanted to share this with anyone who is interested. It is the diary of a relative of mine who fought in the Zulu war, the diary covers his full tour as a Royal Marine Artillery Gunner onboard HMS Active. it is a great read hope people enjoy it I believe he wrote it to be read and not just for his own interest.
BTW I traced his life before and after this but lost him as he never picked up his campain medals the footnote on file says he deserted. My family like to think he stayed abroad or went to America.
