If you contact Sabre Sales, tell them you want some Marine Blue trousers for AZW they will probably be able to help.
Alternatively, type in "Marine Blue trousers" on ebay, or army surplus suppliers, you will pick up good thin red striped trousers for apporx £20.

Zuluneil

Thanks for that. I did get a pair via the Victorian Strollers website for £20. I believe that the only ones left in my size were adjustable Chelsea Pensioner surplus!!

I'll have a good look through Sabre Sales and see if there is anything else that I could use.

Regards,

David

Just wondering if anybody can point me in the direction of any supplier currently selling 24th Foot Shoulder Numerals? I've tried calling the Thin Red Line but there's no answer on their number anymore so I'm assuming they are no more? I've tried the RRW museum and they no longer stock them. I've also tried the Regimental Quartermaster in the US but haven't had any reply yet. Any help would be most appreciated.

Hello Matt,

I noticed that The History Bunker appear to be selling the whole uniform as a package. This includes the shoulder numerals, so you might be able to buy just a pair of numerals from them.

The site is www.thehistorybunker.co.uk

Good luck,

Greetings. I would like to make a correction in some of wrote I said in my 6 Sep 10 post on this thread / topic. Mr. Sanjay Suri has made good on my order after a 12 month wait. His reasoning is due to a hard drive crash (they only have one computer in India?) & unsure about mid-19th century British military jacket patterns (he said he had the patterns before I paypaled the remit). I would love to post some pics of his work and the 3 new jackets, bloody technology, posting photos is not my fortee'. What I received from Sanjay works for me although it was maybe 85% of what I ordered. I did have to re-sew cuffs for better fit, move some of the lace around and alter some minor areas. I was pleased to see good workmanship in the rest of what I received, linings were completely sewn, his buttons are plain domed round steel buttons and melton wool material was good quality. If anyone knows the easiest way to get pics posted, chime in.

Cheers, Johnnie, 93rd Highlanders, 1812-1857.
