Postby kaiser » 19 May 2008 19:53

Hi all just to fill you in, the write up i,m doing in the mutiny thread is a work in progress and will be for some time :( although it's only 18 pages the writting is so small i have to keep checking as i'm going, it's a detailed list of all the units already in India at the start of the mutiny, so i hope you'll find it as interesting as i do...

Kaiser,

I wonder whether you have any info or notes regarding the 33rd Madras Native Infantry who took part in the campaign in Central India and were part of the Kamptee Column in the Saugur region?

Cheers.

Not too worry.

It looks like I may have to take a trip to London to go to the BM and have a look in the records of the I&O Collection which I have been reliably informed can be a bt of a chore!!

Thanks for the reply though.
