.
William Taylor, my Grandfather, was a Sergeant in the R.A. in 1905. Three photos of him are now posted on the Forum under MOUSTACHES. I am guessing that he was born c.1860
I would be very grateful for any info. however slight, to help me find out more about him .
Sadly the name is very common.and as I cannot get to the National Archives I have had to rely on researchers to help me.
Could Wm. possibly have become a BSM by 1907? The reason I ask is because I have found a W. Taylor, BSM, (Royal Artillery) who was awarded long service and good conduct medals in 1907. He was reg. no.72598. This info came courtesy of Kevin Asplin`s brilliant website.
