Interesting debate!

Some independent guides who are not members don't rate them for their knowledge, experience or ability.

I have never been treated to a guide by a Guild member so I can't judge - except the independent guides I know are very, very good.

In many cases such bodies can be simple vehicles for self-aggrandisement and inflated charges - bit like a mafia perhaps.

My attitude to the Guild is that I find them very very opinionated against non members ,they push the Guild as some sort of elite trade union ,my question to them has been so if your so good why are ,and no names no pack drill , many of the leading lights of battlefield touring not members ? And I must admit have had some very odd replies to that one ! I just find their attitude elitist and well if you're not with us your against us attitude !
