I have attached a battlefield plan of the capture of Illig on the East coast of Somalia. The landing was carried out under the Command of Capt the Hon Horace Hood RN Flag Captain of HMS Hyacinth, who together with a force comprising the crews of HMS Hyacinth, HMS Fox and HMs Mohawk, and a Company of the Hampshire Regiment on 21 April 1904. Also attached is a Line drawing of HMS Hyacinth the Flagship of Rear Admiral G.L. Atkinson -Willes, Commander in Chief East Indies Station at that time.

Hi Uzbashi:

As a very keen student of the Somali campaigns would it be possible to to have a download of a larger copy of the Illig landing & battle map -it would go along way to increasing my files on this very interesting topic?

Sincerely

Hello Pat

If you send me your e-mail address I can let you have a larger print. Is it just illig and the RN element or would you also like the Jid Bali battle plan?
