My name is Keith and I have just joined the forum,I am also a member of the sister forum with deals with the Napoleonic Wars.
My primary reason for joining the forum is an interest in colonial India.
I have chosen Field Marshal (Viscount) Hardinge as an avatar for a number of reasons. Firstly, he was educated at Durham School (my city). Secondly, he was on Sir John Moores staff and later served with Wellington as a DQMG during the Peninsular War. Lastly, and more relevant to this forum, he was a Governor General of India.
I look forward to talking India in the near future!
