VICKTORIAN SLADE WALLIS WHITE LEATHER BELT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ''WALKING OUT''. I SAY THIS AS THIS HAS NONE OF THE REGULAR FEATURES ASSOCIATED WITH THE FIELD ISSUE TYPE. JUST A PLANE LEATHER BELT . THIS ALSO HAS THE SNAKE BUCKLE OFTEN USED ON WALKING OUT, PARADE TYPE BELTS OF EARLY ISSUE. NO DATES OR REGIMENTAL MARKINGS IM AFRAID. VERY NICE CONDITION. NEARLY 42 INCHES LONG. A VERY NICE EARLY MILITARY BELT.

Were there different types of Slade Wallis belts? I have seen examples with the 'S' shaped buckles rather than the regimental types but were these indeed used for "walking out"?
