Roconn

Sorry to keep you waiting for a reply; pushing on hard and haven't had time to come this way for a while! Yes, for sure. The publisher is Frontline Books, London. Toiling day and night. It's going to be good and heavy. Possibly even a two-man lift!

As ever

Concerning BTRE
A two-man lift special! This is good news as I've landed a 6 in 4 out contract in foreign climes and will definitely need some reading material that will stay with me.
The usual agreement in such camps require that you leave behind all the paperbacks that you brought to site so after a while we have quite the stash of reading material.... Occasionally I drop off a bodice ripper yarn amongst all the rape, pillage & plunder yarns just to confuse some of the readers.

Hope all is well with the author. Just received another notice from Amazon on the delayed availability of this title. I notice that several resellers are offering copies at exorbitant prices (over $100 and some over $200). They claim to have copies but Lord only knows if this is true or someone just trying to take advantage of all of us anxious and eager to see this book.

Has anyone out there got hold of a copy of this book yet?

Tasker:
I was advised that my copy is yet to be delivered but it will arrive at the previously agreed upon price -- hence I will await my parcel in the mail as 100 to 200 Bizmurkis per copy is a bit steep esp. from other suppliers who may be long on promises but short on delivery.

Dear All

A very happy Christmas to one and all and my very best wishes to you for 2012.

I thank you for your patience. There is only one copy of BTROE in the whole world and it is on the desk next to me on a veranda in Africa. So don't believe anybody who claims to be selling it! The good news is that it is finished and will be leaving for England in the New Year. It has more than a quarter of a million words, so I hope you will understand why it took a little while to write.

Merry Christmas,

Mike

Thanks Mike and Merry Christmas.

I've pre-ordered your book here in the UK via WHSmiths only last week. They didn't indicate whatsoever when the book would arrive so many thanks for this heads up. I'm looking forward to this work, a meaty book on this aspect of the Nile campaign is well over due.

Best regards, john.

Mike's update is in his post above made five days ago. You can pre-order the book now from Amazon and elsewhere so it shouldn't be too far off in the future before it arrives.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the reply. Don't know how I missed Mike's posting .... post-Xmas exhaustion, I think. Great news! I'm so looking forward to it. Gordon is a fascinating character.

Best Wishes to you.

Great news on the completion of the book and a sincere congratulations to the author. I can't comprehend how much effort it must have taken. For what it is worth, Barnes and Noble's website now lists the book with a March 19th delivery date here in the U.S. Amazon.com still shows as "unknown" but based on the kindly update from Col. Snook, March seems like a good bet. Waiting with bated breath.

Ladies & Gentlemen:

Going by the previous book " Go Strong...."

This new "Beyond the Reach..." will be a worthwhile wait as it is a two handed effort required to merely lift this book - so it will no doubt keep silence in anyone's household for quite a while ---- as long as there are suitable/appropriate liquids at one's elbow to maintain composure....

regards all

Amazon.com now has the release date as November 2012. Can anyone confirm this? I am so excited for this book.
