2nd Afghan War poem

Postby astrang1 » 18 Jul 2010 13:11

Hello,
I am looking for some help.
I visited a site on the Afghan War a while back and foolishly never bookmarked it. There was a poem by a soldier who served in 2nd Afghan that I really liked.
The line which I remember went something like
'he should not have died in this land' (or place)
Can anyone help?
Best wishes,
Al

Kipling wrote a poem called "Arithmetic of the Frontier" about the conflict and which is very valid today but this quote does not seem to come from there.
