Unidentified Officers? Belt

Postby Vonwil » 18 Apr 2016 19:00

Hi Guys,

New to the forum. Thanks for letting me in. I have this buckle which was found in a Zulu Kraal (I live in Kwazulu Natal) but for the life of me I can't find a matching one anywhere - can anyone shed some light on the mystery 0 thanks!

Bill

Bill

Try the Transvaal Staatsartillerie on for size - there are pictures of an officer's crossbelt with just such a crest. Not quite the same currency as a waistbelt buckle but you never know.

I am sure if you post an enquiry on

you will get an expert answer.
I have seen these before and I dimly recall they are not military, and unfortunately not ZAR staatsartillerij.
