Marriage Certificate

I`ve just found out my g-grandfather got married in the Wesleyn Methodist Church Quebec City, Canada in 1856. Can anyone tell me how i can get a copy of the original marriage certificate and from where.
At the time he was attached to the Royal Canadian Rifles.

I'd start with the United Church of Canada Archives.

It is exceedingly unlikely that there will be a certificate to be copied. I suspect the record will be a line in a register.
